DMC Light Effect / Metallic Floss – Choose from 36 colors or combo sets

DMC Metallic Embroidery Floss (Article 317) is now part of the DMC Light Effects (Article 317W) series.  It is put in the same way as the embroidery floss, six-strand divisible thread on an 8.7 yard pull skein.  The color numbers corresponds to the regular embroidery floss.  The metallic are colorfast and tarnish resistant.
I try to keep all 36 colors of this floss in stock. The sets are the official DMC grouping as seen on the color card, and are listed in both listings for your convenience.  Each set is treated as one item to save on shipping & handling.  You can also select to purchase the full set of one each of all 36 color.  The listed price of the full set reflects 10% discount from ordering the colors separately.  Recently it had been difficult to get all of the colors, so I also set up a set of 35 and set of 34 colors so you can order one set of what I have available, and have that count as one item for shipping.
The colors coordinates with other DMC threads.  Simply remove the E in the front, and you’ll have the matching color number the DMC floss, floche, tatting cotton and pearl cotton.  This thread is exactly the same size as the 6-strand floss, and the light effect floss can be combined with strands of cotton floss when stitching for a more subtle sparkle.
DMC just added the
DMC Etoile
Line to its offering.  It is the regular 6 strand floss with the metallic already blended in, for a more subtle shimmer.  We have all of the 35 colors in stock right now.
